I noticed a lot of times when you're watching a video or going to play a online game, and it gives you a commercial...It's at least a good few notches higher than your sound setting. This upsets me greatly. I don't enjoy having to rip my headphones from my ears when a commercial blasts out of the speakers. I know they want attention..but making them loud enough that I cringe will not help my hearing...

Agreed. But beyond that, I hate that we are being stuck with ads on purchased DVDs and BluRays at all! Angry I really don't want a bunch of previews either. Nor do I need five minutes of various disclaimers and anti copy warnings from the Federal Bureau of Intimidation either. I know it is a federal crime to make unauthorized copies, I know that BluRay is new (not that new by now, really) and that my player needs firmware updates from time to time. I don't need them to keep sticking paper and digital reminders of that fact inside every movie case and disc. (too many dratted lawyers sticking their filthy fingers into the pie)

If the cost of keeping ads out of a DVD movie is a fifty cent or so increase in the cost of buying the movie, I'll gladly pay it, to keep from being bothered.

I don't play online games, so I haven't been exposed to that. But I think my attitude would be similar, that I would be willing to pay the game owner a small bribe to shut off the dammed ads.
