Citibank has joined the ranks of making men look like whipped wimped little boys.  There's a couple of new commercials where a couple have just gotten married, they are at their reception I guess.  The groom is whining about responsibility and how his life is going to change, the bride's back is turned to him most of the time, except for when she tells him he can't keep his stinky futon, with a parental tone.
 
I can't stand crap like this.    Cry

I couldn't agree with you more.  I was like RUN, DUDE, to the nearest lawyer and get this marriage anulled before she starts acting like the tax box wife, or even worse-- you become Shut Up Steve!!!!

I love how he says "I'm at the spot where, here comes all her stuff"  I think they should add "and there goes all his stuff".  Well I guess we got the idea with the whole except the stinky futon thing.

The girl in the commericial is an A-1 *itch.
Every guy had a stinky futon before he got married.
Every wife wanted us trash 'em (or some of us simply were wise enough to know it had to go).
The guy in the commercial tries to give it to one of his friends, at the end of the commercial...without success...

Thanks but the wrestler I mentioned is where I got the line about getting back in the kitchen and making him a sammitch. He used it in a backstage interview with a female wrestler as well as a bunch of other chauvinistic things. He also called her Hot Pocket.

I actually hate that "husband needed redecorating" ad - passionately. Although I'm beyond disturbed by your response to her . . . . Maybe it's just me, but why is it that the anger toward obnoxious females is so much more violent and detailed than the stuff towards annoying men?
I say let the guy have his own room to slouch around in. Don't make him wear special outfits so he matches your decor.

I also hate the Stinky Futon Ad - that guy looks like he's waaaaaaay too young to be getting married. And the Chuck's he's wearing ain't helping. He looks like he should be going to the prom.
