CIH Site Updates - Front Page

Think there might be any value in eliminating certain sections from possibly being posted on the 'Front Page' - such as 'The Flame Room'?

Think of it like shopping for a car.

Many a person will be well on their way to purchasing a car based on their first impression - the exterior they see; especially people who either do not tend to, or possibly see the need to, 'look into the product'. One must 'kick the tires', 'open the door and sit in it', maybe even 'take it for a spin'. In other words, one must LOOK, TOUCH, FEEL to see if the product is good, or sub-standard. Most folks will chose good cars. NOW, if a real pretty SUB-STANDARD car has anything like a 'Surgeon General's Warning' painted on it, or maybe something even more simple for the Teeming Masses to understand...like: "This Car Sucks", even fewer people will purchase it. 

 

(In my humble opinion) In the case of CIH, 'The Front Page' is an initial 'Sales Mechanism'; the EXTERIOR of the product - it can be (and basically is) 'pretty'; it can 'sell iteself'. BUT, if unflattering material is pushed to the forefront, not unlike buboes on a plague victim, then that may push away some prospective new members (before we've had a chance to insult their intelligence), or possibly some of the $$$-making (B2B; business-to-business) possibilities may be lost to the Board Owner.
