I am so sick of hearing this song in so damn many commercials: "Back In Black" by AC/DC. I'm sick, sick, SICK of it! |

Advertising idiots CEASE and DESIST from using this overplayed song or else I will BOYCOTT every single damn company that uses this worn out song! I now hate this song and await the eventual erasing of this song from the airwaves. I am hopeful.

Chevy made a point of showing the clean shaven dude driving a sensible, small car in the city. But scrubby faced "tough" guy drives a gas guzzling pickup(again, in the city)who's bed might see a couple bags of mulch at most.

Colorados don't get such bad gas mileage, but yeah "grey import sedan" guy is obviously meant to show us how drab life is without a Chevy.
I don't know if Honda still makes a truck, but if they do, they should retaliate with a spot where the only place you see a Chevy Cruze is in high school parking lots with Hello Kitty steering wheel covers. You know, because no one "cool" drives a small sedan.

Not me! I bloody love AC/DC...and Back In Black was a statement song by them, after the death of their original lead singer Bon Scott (R.I.P. mate!), this one kicked off their first album without Bon.
I like to hear this after a particularly frustrating day at work! It's great rock!! Something that doesn't exist today, thanks to that HIPHOP rap garbage that has taken over popular music! Pure sh*te as far as I hear it! Bring back Rock!! πΈπΈπΈπΈπ΅ |

^^ Have you heard their new one "Rock or Bust?" With its sound and style, it could fit right in on one of their 80's albums. I saw the video on Palladia yesterday or the day before, and Angus is still Angus as far as his on stage antics and apparel go. He's also aged pretty well - he must be in his 60's by now if I had to guess.
I wish Bon had never died though - I really don't care for Brian Johnson's voice. And I definitely echo the other posters regarding the overuse of Back in Black (special thanks to Walmart for that one ). |

Thank You Thank You Thank You, Sarge! Could not agree more. AC/DC and Aerosmith were some of the first B.S.blow-hards around.

Maybe you guys were just a few years too old for AC/DC when they came out. I was, too. It seemed to be more for the younger kids when I was 18. Same with Kiss. As I got older, I got over that, and I've come to enjoy AC/DC (but not Kiss so much). And Bon Scott's voice is perfect for the lyrics. When he sings TNT, he actually does sound like he's "about to explode". Or pop a vein. Or something. |

Seriously. Who the f**k bitches about AC/DC?! Come on now, bitching about good music is why you get stuff like "living the life of dreams" and "push it". |

One of the fondest memories of my youth (and most of them are fuzzy for various reasons) is from an AC/DC concert.
My friends and I had the worst seats. If we stood on the arms of those seats, we could literally touch the ceiling trusses. Those metal ones with the zig-zag. The band was tiny.. little screeching and skittering ants. But we could hear everything, so we didn't bitch too long or loud. Most of the show went like that.. Jeff and I yelled back at the screaming insects on the stage below, and we had a pretty good time.. until the end of the show. The finale was "For Those About To Rock", and two large cannons rose, one on each side of the stage. The cannons fired every time the word "FIRE" was yelled from one of the ants, and bass rumbled through the arena. I could feel it in my chest, it was awesome. Then came the 21-gun salute. Good God. The cannons fired off the 21-gun salute, and the constant vibration shook loose the ceiling tiles from the tiled middle section of the ceiling. Some glided, some tumbled, some swished one way then the other, but almost every single one hit someone with a "better" seat than ours. I've forgotten a lot of things about a lot of concerts from back in the day, but I hope I never forget that grand specticle.

I have a minor problem with this commercial that others would probably not even notice. Hip rebel guy pulls his Chevrolet Colorado quickly away from the curb without signaling. Traffic laws vary from state to state but in mine it is required. To me this implies his driving attitude is that everyone else has to look out for him because he is to cool for school.

He signalled. The lower lamp of the two is the turn signal, and you see one flash of just the lower as he pulls away. If he was 2-footin it, both lamps would have lit.

I think both of us are seeing spots, or we're planting suggestions into each other's brains because now I see both lamps lit as well.
No, you don't owe the douchebag an apology. Since there's only one flash, he obviously just tapped the signal all cool-guy style. And Chevy should make their turn signals easier to see light up. Death traps for douche bags, I tell ya. Still, if you look up the Colorado online, their new off-road version is a pretty cool looking little truck.

People like me who are fed up with companies using this same song in every commercial with the words "back" or "black" in them, that's who. The violins here really capture the absurdity of the whole concept.

AC/DC, Back in Black, and the Chevy Colorado. To me, it sounds like a dream combination.
But it had to be in a commercial, when everyone else is using the same damn song.

If the other adverisers didn't use this song I'd be fine with it. Its a good song no doubt. I'm just tired of advertisers using it over and over and over again! Its repetition overload!

I'd rather have it on endless repeat than hear "Living the life of dreams" or "morning win", or whatever that weird electronic sh*t Fiat uses is... Besides, who else is using it right now? I may not watch TV as much as some people, but I don't see other ads using it currently... |

I got permanently burnt out a few years back on Iggy Pop's Lust for Life and Led Zeppelin's Rock and Roll. I used to love both songs, but they were used incessantly in various TV commercials, and I never want to hear either again. |
