NO, just NO!
I just don't understand this music / noise!  Just because you're adding a bunch of babies to the ad, doesn't make it instantly "cute."

Hell the way this is edited, it's enough to give me a damn seizure! Angry

Thanks for posting this one, TNIP - I was shocked beyond belief at the baby at 18 seconds in- WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!!! Did someone hold him upside-down and shake out his diaper contents all over him?!!!
And yes, the muzak is terrible, not to speak of showing 'babies are fun' to gangsta kids? Yea, that's JUST what we need, Cheerios - way to set a great example!
'Get Cheerios by using your Food Stamps, Homey!'
Finally, Cheerios OBVIOUSLY isn't aware of this little condition called 'Photosensitive Epilepsy', which, as you mention, could easily be triggered by a commercial like this.

And YES, I actually DID contact Cheerios about this POS and expressed my views. Being I just feel other people may feel uneasy about this commercial, I suspect it will get shut down before long.

Ggggggggggrrrrrrrreeereaaaat more dubstep music, I'd rather listen to the entire original Gran Turismo soundtrack on non-stop repeat than hear this garbage! Hell, I'd rather listen to 1980s video game music non-stop rather than this crap!

Just saw this during the Golden Globes and couldn't even watch the whole thing. Not "music" at all, just a bunch of total garbage!! And all of those quick cuts and babies...
Do I smell a top 10 candidate for Worst of 2017, ALREADY?! Fk off General Mills.
Back after a long absence...still hating those commercials. Go away Limu Emu and Doug!

DisapproveThis nasty-azz commercial continues and nobody cares. Here's the response *I* got back:

Dear Valued Consumer,
Thank you for contacting General Mills regarding our new Cheerios commercial.
We are sorry you were disappointed. Our intent is to encourage both potential and existing customers to use our products. Your opinions are important to us and will be carefully reviewed with our marketing and advertising people.
We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced and appreciate the opportunity to reply to your concerns. We hope you will continue to choose our products.

Bullsh*t response, in fact it's just an email template used for these kind of complaints. Amy just simply scanned your email and generated this junk reply. NOTHING will be done about it.

You can use that tagline for any product:

"Use (insert product here) and make babies!"

Oh so correct - standard 'form letter'. Pretty darned sure there is no 'Amy Sadowski', either.
I failed to be threatening in any manner, so they simply ignored me.

It's often cheaper to be forgotten.
I wouldn't worry about it.   At all.   Big smile

WinkI've softened over time, I suppose - the Business and even the Wife used to call on 'The Bastard' when something (legally) very ugly had to occur without evidence. One of my 'finer qualities' is an innate ability to 'induce change'. It didn't happen with Cheerios because I just didn't really care - the letter was just a way to spend a few moments and irritate someone at the other end because their commercial twisted my stomach...

Could this ad be a "change of direction" Ermm for Cheerios from the concerned-little-kids-worried-about-Dad-dying-of-a-coronary ad, or the supposedly adorable little tykes getting their first solid-food experience with the wonderful Cheerio (that bland toasted slurry of powdered oats and whatnot).  I find them all repellent because they are either emotionally manipulative (Aw!  Cereal makes you care and feel all warm and fuzzy toward your family!) or simply Loud, Obnoxious and In Your Face, as in this ad.

At .03, Tip-over Kid does a faceplant:  no - not cute.  Looks like an injury.  At .06-07 - Terrorized Child, likely possessed by demons.  Again, not cute.  At .18:  Baby did NOT smear himself with that goo (wtf, it's probably some mixture using corn syrup, food coloring and flour, deliberately mixed up by an adult and deliberately smeared all over that baby, who was then plopped on the table to be filmed - again, not cute)...and shrieking kids interspersed throughout the ad.  Oh, and the terrible soundtrack.  That's not music, that is a Geiger counter mating with  a drum machine.  Awful!

The notion that people should "make more babies" so Cheerios can have more customers is appalling.  I want to see the next Cheerios ad where they drop from planes boxes of Cheerios onto the lands of the starving children in third world countries.  Cheerios Feeding Babies All Around The World!  When's that ad campaign coming?

If seeing those brats, some of whom have obviously been abused by being smeared with some brown goo (guess what it's supposed to be?) and listening to that music noise doesn't invoke seizures, I don't know what would.
