Confused2011 '911' calls - The Top 10 from the Chatham-Kent Police. #1 is a true-to-life classic.

(note: I almost called 911 a few moments ago because MissyDWolf took too many meatballs from tonight's spaghetti - and she wouldn't give 'em back! She traded me some garlic toast to get me to hang up)

ConfusedSome people are simply too stupid to be allowed to live; nature resolves the issue.

ConfusedLOL...while browsing 'news for lower life forms', I stumbled on these *current* police reports, from outside of Seattle. They don't get a lot of news around Beaver Lake and Sammamish, so some current reports date back to before XMAS. The big thing is: these are REAL
One has to appreciate the titles for each report!
EnjoyLOL

Police

January 10, 2012

Into the woods

A resident in the 20500 block of Southeast 19th Street said a vandal or vandals cut down about 12 large trees on her property in the past several months and then left the fallen trees on the ground at the site, rather than cutting them up for firewood.

Tool time

Tools were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 19700 block of Southeast 23rd Street before Dec. 22.

Christmas caper

Mail was stolen in the 4100 block of 229th Avenue Southeast on Dec. 22. The resident reported the incident to police after a Christmas card she was expecting failed to arrive.

Timeless

Laptops and antiques were stolen from a residence in the 2200 block of East Beaver Lake Drive Southeast before Dec. 23.

Driving under the influence

Police arrested a 19-year-old Bellevue man for driving under the influence near the corner of Southeast 16th Street and 228th Avenue Southeast at about 2 a.m. Dec. 23. Police said he had been driving 75 mph in a 40 mph zone. The man smelled of marijuana and told the officer he had been driving fast “because it was fun.”

Finders’ keepers

A resident in the 21200 block of Northeast Sixth Street said men were preparing to rob his neighbor’s home at about 9:30 p.m. Dec. 27. The man reported seeing a black Ford with a trailer parked outside the neighbor’s vacant home. The men told the resident the house was abandoned, and they believed the items inside to be free. The caller recorded the Ford’s license plate information for police.

Hacked

A laptop was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 5100 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast before 1:54 a.m. Dec. 28. The estimated loss is $500.

Honda heist

A Honda was stolen in the 4700 block of West Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast before 10:34 a.m. Dec. 28.

Unlocked

A lock was damaged on a vehicle parked in the 2000 block of Newport Way Northwest before 11:56 a.m. Dec. 28.

Made Mazda

A Mazda was stolen from a garage in the 23400 block of Southeast Black Nugget Road before 6:40 p.m. Dec. 28.

Sparkle

Jewelry was stolen from a residence in the 1800 block of 203rd Avenue Southeast before Dec. 29. The estimated loss is $12,000.

Driving under the influence

Police arrested a 19-year-old Sammamish woman for driving under the influence at about 2:30 a.m. Dec. 30 after an officer saw her vehicle stop in the middle of Southeast Eighth Street near Skyline High School. Several teenagers then exited the vehicle. Police contacted the driver, and she told the officer she wished he were dead. She also smelled of alcohol. Police said a vehicle occupant said the group drank vodka from a water bottle and left for Seattle to go clubbing, but returned to Sammamish because they could not locate the nightclub.

Return to sender

Mailboxes were damaged in the 1300 block of East Beaver Lake Drive just after midnight Dec. 31.

Seriously, they didn't know you could get to the trunk from the back seat?
I think every sedan built today has fold down back seats to allow for more storage in the trunk.
They could have popped a window up front, glass is a fully insured replacement item with comprehensive.
Then folded down the back seat to remove the dogs.

With all due respect to firefighters and the sacrifices they make, these particular ones could have used a touch more common sense.

Quite the overreaction.  They must've been bored that day.

After unnecessarily causing $5000 worth of damage to a two month old vehicle, I'd probably defend myself by saying that my actions were reasonable and prudent too.

WinkOuchHey Reg - all I had to do was climb in the car to hear about this, early this morning (MissyDWolf had the radio set to the Tom Joyner Radio Show, and they were absolutely eating this one up! I got home about 6 A.M. and had to look it up to ensure it was real).
To quote Tom Joyner on this: "...and just WHAT do you think the donkey thought about all of this?"
To quote Sybil, one of his co-anchors: "Ya gotta know he was pretty happy about it"

I have contacted my Local Station and asked them to either NOT show this episode, or at least wait until after 11:00 PM to air it. I have also contacted several churches, in hope of starting some kind of opposition to this filth. IMO this is BEYOND Disgusting! Ouch How have we allowed ourselves to stoop this low?

WinkReg...I have to agree with your actions 100% - and, well - Thank You.
For the life of me, this level of sensationalism make absolutely NO sense. To believe people actually jumped in and 'played the game' says a lot more about with whiich the level of 'rhyme and reason/sense and sensibility' the participants were raised.
There is absolutely NOTHING funny, much less worthy of broadcast, that can come of this event.
Personally, I find it offensive.
