Seems like CMT, like just about every other network airing a "reality" show, has finally run out of ideas, though I have to admit that this looks pretty funny. Unfortunately, we don't get CMT (it would cost us an extra $5 a month or something like that, but we don't watch half the channels we already get, so there's no point in paying for even more channels we'd never/rarely watch). Apparently they have a fascination with hicks from Louisiana.

Two new series:

Bayou Billionaires - what happens when the oil companies put up a rig on property owned by a bunch of hicks in Louisiana:

My Big Redneck Vacation - what happens when a bunch of hicks from Louisiana go on vacation in The Hamptons:

Has anyone here actually seen these shows?

I saw two episodes of Redneck Vacation.  It was OK, I guess.  This bunch of "redneck" families get to stay in a really nice home while vacationing in the Hamptons.  There's really just one guy who's over-the-top redneck, and he seems to be hamming it up a lot.  The rest of the people seem able to conduct themselves fairly appropriately despite being out of their element.
