Anything on Nickelodeon = Fail.

I hear that sort of thing a lot here...especially from the younger members---saying that cartoons just aren't what they used to be.

Hahahaha I love how everyone (or every generation for that matter) is always griping about "cartoons these days", simply put most of what Nick and CN have target demographic as Thor mentioned earlier is 6-12, so don't expect much unless you're tuning in [adultswim]. You're best bet is to hunt for a good stream/download site and finding your favourite shows, or find new ones.

If you want something more your age, there's a wide spectrum of shows that just don't get much airplay. Thank goodness for the internet. USE IT! for example:



One of the main reason for poor cartoons are that many studios are looking for something quick and cheap to make, but sells, and kids are an easier target for merchandising and etc because most kids will practically watch anything. I hate Dora the Explorer now. The colors are brighter and the framing device of "her being in a computer-game" died out, her voice is now high and squealy, and the stupidity skyrocketed in the show. Map has become the most irritating character (for me) on the show now.
