Just saw this commercial where everyone is poking a hole in the top of their pull tab can of beer.  Seems to be some kind of miracle  Wacko.  I'm not a beer drinker--why do this, if its so great why are they acting like its second coming, does it make beer taste better, does it remove foam, etc.?  Help my peach schnapps-loving brain understand.

Here's an article that may help explain it.. Long story short, most mass produced beer tastes lousy so the beer companies focus the advertising on everything BUT taste.
