Duplicates and triplicates also take up space on the forum index pages.  Plus, if you wonder why no one is responding to the topic you started, it may be because everyone's responded to the one that was started last week.
 
Of course, there are also the people who would rather express their feelings or give some extraneous detail in the name of the topic rather than name the actual product.  This one's my pet peeve.  Save your precious f*cking feelings for the body of your post, not for the name of the topic!  This way, when people do a topic search, they might find the topic they want to post about.
 
And spell it correctly, too, dammit!  Angry

Yeah.. that inconsistency has reared its obvious head a few times. I think a better rule is to not resurrect them unless it is a new observation or maybe the ad has been revived and you want to weigh in. Is this discussion group really all that overcrowded with topics allegedly raised from the dead? If so, I haven't noticed.
 
Also, what's the mortal significance to one year? For the purposes of this website, "dead," to me, means pertaining to commercials long off the air, particularly ones that current readers likely have forgotten. Except, that is, for the "Campaigns That You're Glad That Died" forum.
 
I'm not recommending "civil disobedience;" most of the forum rules are reasonable.
