Big smile'Justified' (Season 4) just cranked up, tonight.
Once again, can't miss a minute - but started out a lot 'lighter' than the past few seasons. Sprinkled with very well-timed 'dark humor' for a change, but the first episode ended with a bit of unexpected, 'sit up straight' schlock.
I remember getting tired of FX showing the same episode twice in a row...but this time? Glad they did - really needed to see the first five minutes again to pull the entire hour together.

Cry....MissyDWolf accidently erased "Slaughterhouse" - the season finale - before she got to watch it. She really wanted to watch Mykelti Williamson's oscar-worthy performance ( he plays 'Elston Limehouse'). I'm not tellin' her a DAMNED thing! She can wait for the re-run, or go pick up the 3rd series on DVD.
What is so interesting about the 'seasons' thus far seems to be how there is an overall story not told; 'Season 2', absolutely a spellbinding mess, was all about the impact of 'Mothers and Matriarchs' (it ate at MissyD, who is the 'Family Matriarch'). 'Season 3' was all wrapped around 'Fathers' (and, if one caught it, all came to clealy roost in an unaccepted apology during the final 10 minutes).
One thing I *had* to look into was the background of a number of the actors - they all seemed so '1-off', but you KNOW you've seen them - yet, maybe not recently. Every one I have looked into has an extensive acting 'rap sheet'. It only stirred me up when I realized I had seen 'Boyd Crowder' (Walton Goggins),  'Robert Quarles' (Neil McDonough), or 'Mags Bennett' (Margo Martindale) *somewhere*  a number of times before.
What is shocking, should one dig, is where else they've seen these folk - you don't KNOW them - but you know you do...

I watched a few episodes in season 1 and didn't get hooked. But based on you guys raving about the show here, I caught the last couple episodes. Watched the finale last night, and I agree...that actually made me do a "Did I just see that????" rapid sit-up.
 
It's a great show. Raylan is one cool dude.

ShockedUnhappy...just watched the last episode for this season....WOW...holy cow!
Quite a finish if I say so myself...but, close to the end there is ONE 10-second scene that sat me straight up bug-eyed and jaw-dropped. I will not say any more other than other fans know *exactly* what I'm talking about, and yea, 30 minutes later, I'm still shivering, but unhappy that there isn't just a few more episodes.

WinkI thought the end of last night's show was fantastic; I didn't catch on until 'Boyd' got transferred to the jail where 'Dickie' was incarcerated. Yea...'Boyd' is a complicated SOB, always operating with a plan.

I *really, really* liked Mags - she was so stinkin' brutal, so 'real', and generally 'honest' - but a real criminal. She reminded me of a few people we've known(Confused before MissyDWolf retired from her previous 'full-time' life).

I got hooked on Timothy Olyphant several years ago and was so happy when he got this show.  He is one fine man.  HeartI love 'im, but Boyd Crowder sure is a complicated and well-thought out character and I like Walton (this is correct) Goggins, who plays Boyd, alot.  He's a bad guy with ethics LOL
I especially liked the show where he screwed over the dumb*sses at the mine and got away with the money.
Last season was about as good of show as you can get.  Mags Bennett was horrendous, though great.  I had to turn my head away when she was taking the hammer to son's hand. 
 
Least favorite part of show was killing Raylen's stepmother and I don't care too much for Raylen's exwife.  The actress is fine but I think the character is stupid and Raylen wouldn't be with a stupid woman.
