I really like any show that has factory tours, engineering, construction, big stuff, etc. I've been fascinated with factories since sixth grade when I got to take a live tour of the Hershey Chocolate plant. (They did that in the old days, when I was a kid--and let me tell you, that "Chocolate World" simulated factory tour ride they have there now doesn't even come close to the real thing).

At least when I watch these shows, I feel like I learned something. When there are no other shows or movies on that are watchable (and that seems to happen several nights a week), these shows are the only thing that'll keep me from turning the TV off.

Anyone know how to get my WYSIWYG editor working again?

I turned it off to try to solve an issue with my tablet but it didn't.

So now I go into Control Panel & re click on yes, it still doesn't work.

So I'm stuck replying to posts in courier font with all the BBcode tags showing.

I'm a WW II history buff. Many years ago, I bought "Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" by William L. Shirer and read it through several times. Shirer quoted heavily from Winston Churchill's memoirs of WW II. I was finally able to find the six-volume set on eBay for about 20 bucks. Turned out to be a first-edition set, although a cheap one mostly sold to schools and libraries, so it's not worth much.

Anyway, I finally started reading it about two months ago, and I'm halfway through the second volume. It's not an easy read, as Churchill included many excerpts of daily notes and memos sent to and from other government and military leaders. But it gives amazing insights into the personalities and attitudes in the British and French governments that drove the appeasement of Hitler during the 1930s, as well as the incredible amount of daily minutiae that went into making the decisions required to run a war effort in that era.

I'll give myself a big atta-boy if I manage to finish the whole series.Smile
