Upon spotting this thread, I just had to point out how this one vile commercial desecrated “That’s Amore” with cheesy background music and lyrics about logistics. I think Lee is using "I like the nightlife" and "Just what I needed"

I really can't stand commercials that just use ONE line of a chorus (Aspen Dental, "When I see you smile") and then cut out the rest of the vocals and just repeat that one line half a dozen more times.

For some reason, the recent Lincoln commercials haven't bugged me with covers of "Major Tom" and "Under the Milky Way" - maybe cuz they use real covers. Probably cuz I'd loves me a Lincoln...even if it didn't have wheels.

* Geico / "Somebody's Watching Me" ... actually remixed
* Hampton Inn / "With A Little Help From My Friends"
* JC Penney / "Don't You Forget About Me" ... at least I think it was JC Penney
* Almost every back to school sale commercial
