Emma could use one of those gerbil wheels, she's gotten a bit "full figured".Embarrassed She'd probably get stuck in one of the Titanic smokestacks.

I'd probably buy a good size motor home and drive all over the country.

It'd be nice to have 1/100th of the amount that the jackpot has increased just since this thread began two days ago.

It's now $640,000,000!!!

There are so many causes I would like to support, but one thing I would love to do would be to buy a vintage 50s era diner, restore it and open "Vinny's Hot Lunch" in memory of my Grandpa.

I'd put it all in the bank in a regular savings account that paid almost no interest & leave it there.

Never spend a cent.

Every year, the news media would interview me & ask what I'd done with the money & I'd look straight at them (or the camera) & say "Nothing. I haven't spent one single, solitary penny of it & I'm not gonna. Ever!!!"

I'm pretty sure that would just drive a lot of people insane, which would make it all worthwhile.

Every once in awhile, I might withdraw a million dollars, take home, spread it all over my living room floor & roll around naked in it. When I was done, I'd bundle it all back up & take it back to the bank.

Hey, what can I say? Some of us just know how to live!!!! Thumbs Up

I don't think I'd do much with it. Obviously, get my mother the things she needs, a home somewhere nice, the operation that will greatly improve her hearing, the dental surgury she needs (The poor thing can barely eat at times), and enough to allow her to live comfortably, and find a job she'd enjoy.

I'll admit, I would probably break down and go on a small shopping spree for some clothes from my favourite fashion brand deepstyle, but for the most part I'll still shop at TJMaxx, Marshalls, Ross, Burlington, and other places where $100 can buy me a season's wardrobe, and not one sleeveless vest made from orphan's eyelashes.

Well, we didn't win again. How come it's never anyone in the big cities who win these things? I TOLD my father that this was a waste of time and money. That's $4.00 I'm never going to get back.

We put $9 in it!

We played birthdays, so we got the numbers 4 and 23, but didn't play 23 on the megaball.  We played four games with birthdays, and 5 with quick picks.

Oh well.  We have a  nice life.

Pa, I used my own money to buy the tickets. If my dad gave me the money, it would have been HIS cash wasted, not mine. I could have used that money for something better.

I won!  Well, OK---I didn't play, as California doesn't host this particular lottery, but I wrote "my numbers" down, and they weren't the ones selected (not even one)...so I didn't even lose that dollar.

Haven't paid much attention except that 3 people hit all the numbers. $200,000,000 each I guess. Waiting for one of them at speech time to say "I'm gonna keep my job.....".Ermm

Someone on the news said that even after the pot is divvied up and taxes are taken, the amount you're left with can generate $7,000,000 in profit yearly, if invested wisely.

MissyDWolf saw another documentary on people who have won the lottery only to have their lives totally destroyed, last night. It may be only a fraction, but handling the money correctly is a critical thing one must learn.

Some people go too hog wild, probably buying things they never even thought about wanting.  I'd buy stuff, too, but would be most happy knowing I could buy whatever I wanted---but not necessarily buying it.  Part of it is that I hate to shop.

Plus I don't wanna be possessed by my possessions.

That's all?  $4?  You have to spend at least hundred$ or even thousand$ before the Lottery gives you a free "The Biggest Loser" hat....  LOL

$4.00 was even a bit much for me to waste on a lottery ticket but my father was insistent that I buy one. He actually got annoyed with me the last time a big jackpot came around and I didn't buy a ticket.

The whole thing's a racket, anyway.

I wouldn't even bother investing it "wisely".

Why would you be worried about maximizing your income from more money than you could ever spend to begin with???

Just to have even MORE money you could never spend????

I'd just stick it in something uncomplicated, like a regular savings account.

Or better yet.... open up a regular checking account with the entire 200 million!!!! Big smile

"Uh..... do I get free checking with that balance?"  LOL

"Gosh, I hope I don't overdraw my account & bounce a check!!!!!" Tongue

But then again, in order to have it FDIC insured, you'd have to open 1,000 separate accounts of $200,000 each!!!!! And I think each one would have to be in a different bank, so maybe that's not such a hot idea afterall.

Yeah, that's why I wouldn't want that much money to begin with.

Too much work & too many headaches & worries about holding on to it or who's ripping you off, etc.

Sounds like a fulltime job to me.

I'd rather have about 2 or 3 million bucks & have nobody know about it but myself, my lawyer & my banker.

Earn about 50k a year in interest & not worry about squat other than where I'm gonna go out & have lunch everyday & how I'm gonna squander the rest of each day goofing off.

Cash it out and keep it under your mattress!  Better have high ceilings, though.  Here's what $200,000,000 looks like in $100 bills.

You'd never have to worry about being able to tip the Domino's delivery guy.

Although, with that much cash, why would you be ordering from Domino's to begin with?

Right?

Right.
