My first instinct is to say, CANCEL THIS SHOW!!!
The premise is one of the biggest clichès on television.
The formerly rich Paris Hilton type blonde vs the always poor tough accented brunett.

The writing is terrible.  It's as if they just took some Happy Days scripts and changed a couple of lines to fit the premise.

What would be really interesting is, where it is a CBS show, let the writers of The Big Bang Theory write one of the shows and lets see if it actually becomes good.

The only reason most guys are going to watch is to see Kat Dennings' body.  If they want that you can see it naked on the net.  Why buy the cow, when you can get he milk for free? lol

I just looked this up in Wikipedia.

Seems these girls are trying to save up $250,000 in order to open up a cupcake shop (there we go with the damned cupcakes).  To do this, they work as waittresses while living in the hipster-central section of Brooklyn known as Williamsburg.

If they're that broke, and trying to save money, wouldn't it be more plausible if they lived in the South Bronx and worked their way up to their cupcake dreams while working as cheap prostitutes and selling crack to inner city grammar school kids?  Maybe they can then graduate to living in Williamsburg and selling oxycontin or ecstacy to hipsters while appearing in video porn.  Eventually, they could be living in Manhattan and selling cocaine while working as high-paid escorts.   The hilarity might actually ensue if this was the case.

I'm a guy and even Kat Dennings' body can't carry this lame wreck of a show.  LOL

I can't help compare to The Big Bang Theory, also a CBS show, which is well written and really funny.

It also has someone who in that sense is similar to Kat Dennings, that is Melissa Rauch, but she has a great personality and is really funny.

To me this show is another form of MENtertainment.

Why doesn't she do a quick "spread" in Big Un's Magazine and show her cupcakes(had to Google her). Presto, instant cupcake shop money.

Seems to me that would make it even more lame.

How 'bout the writers from an actual good show instead?

If I cared enough, Jimbo, I'd start a poll here for anyone who's seen the show, and ask if they like it or not.  I'll bet most do.  It's pretty damned good.

Meh.

It's a free country. People have the right to their opinions.

I just think the humor seems forced & the characters don't seem genuine.

One of those shows that seems to try too hard.

Kinda like The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

"Ooooohhhh look how cute & "zany" we are, everyone!!!!

Doncha just love us???? Of course you do.

Because we're so cute & zany"

Besides, since when does popularity equate with quality?

Just sayin' that most people think it's good.  I'm certainly not one to say popularity equals good.

But it does share some of the same writers as Two and A Half Men.

I know it's a popular show, but there are also a lot of people who think it's not very good.

Too may clichés & hackneyed, over the top stereotypes that aren't really reflective of the kind of guys they're trying to portray.

And if they're such geeks, why do they have to have a hot chick in the cast who hangs around with them?

Why not a chubby, not-so-attractive girl? I'll tell you why.... because Hollyworst isn't interested in genuine characters or people who seem like actual people, they pander to a youth audience that wants everything & everyone to be beautiful. Even the geeks are chic. Those guys are "geeks" like "Ugly Betty" is "ugly".... they're "Hollywood geeky" like she's "Hollywood ugly".

IOW.... fake.

And that's what I don't like about it. It's just too fakey.

Sorry if that rubs anyone the wrong way.

Confused...sorry all - never heard of the show (and I guess that is a good thing).
"Two Broke Girls" in my books only means one thing.
It all goes back to an old profession - a very old one, doncha know.
Maybe the oldest one.

Should be "Two Broken Girls".

because they are clearly disfunctional.

Another one I don't much like is that "Whitney".

Another one that tries too hard to be cute & snarky.

Ugh, hate Big Bang Theory with a passion. If you want some real "nerdy" humour with some quality to it, IT crowd and Community hit the nail on the head a lot better.

I watched one or two episodes, could not see the appeal, and switched off. I also despise "How I Met Your Mother" as well. How that show has lasted this long, I'll never know.

Outside of the crappiness of the show, I hate how pretty much all of the main cast (Of Big Bang Theory) looks like they're holding in a sneeze.

I like BBT because I do think the characters are the most genuine on TV.  I've known people like them.

I don't care if you don't agree, I'm just saying that's the way I see it.

I did not know that.

But it figures.

She seems to be all over the place these days.

I saw her hosting some crapfest awards show somewhere.

Tired of her already.

I think Stewie would probaby say

*gunshot to the temple*

"There, she's gone. you won't see her anymore, she's dead."

Then he'd shot her in the vagina as some grotesque alien crawls out. I don't know why, but she seems like the kind that'd be harbouring vaginal aliens.
